WordOx is a different take on popular board games like Scrabble and Words with Friends. You still need to create words with given tiles, which must follow the same rules as Scrabble. The differences are in sharing tiles, and the scoring of points.
Difference between WordOx and Scrabble
In Scrabble you have your own tiles to create words from. In WordOx both players share the same tiles. This makes it harder to look for words ahead, because you won’t know the actual letters, untill it’s your turn.
The scoring is also different. In Scrabble, each letter has a certain value. When a word is played, the value of each letter for all newly created words, is added to the players score. In WordOx each player has a color. When playing a word, all newly created words will be shown in that players’ color. If letters are used that have the opponents’ color, those letters will switch color.
Your goal is to steal letters from your opponent. If you have the most letters in your color when the game ends, you win!
